How much does it cost to join a Red Arrow Soccer Club team?
There are two seasons per soccer year (fall and spring) in the West Michigan Youth Soccer Association (WMYSA) league and the cost to play within the club is $250 per player per season ($500 for full season).
There are two seasons per soccer year (fall and spring) in the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (MSPSP) league and the cost to play within the club is $350 per player per season ($700 for full season).
Academy has three seasons (fall, winter, and spring). Shirts are provided.
Full Year: Juniors U7-U8 2 day $250 - Minis U5-U6 1 day $150
Fall Only: Juniors U7-U8 2 day $100 - Minis U5-U6 1 day $50
Winter Only: Juniors U7-U8 1 day $85 - Minis U5-U6 1 day $85
Spring Only: Juniors U7-U8 2 day $100 - Minis U5-U6 1 day $50
The club fees cover League dues, Club Fees, Field Rental, Referee Fees, field maintenance and rental, coach's stipend, and winter Futsal training with professional coaches. Tournament fees and uniforms are extra and will be determined by the club and each individual team. Some teams may require additional coaching fees and the cost will be determined by each individual team.

How far do you travel for games?
Away games are typically played within 30 minutes of the Kalamazoo area with some games extending to Portage, Battle Creek, St. Joseph & Sturgis. Teams playing Elite can expect to play games in the Grand Rapids area with some extending to Lansing, Muskegon, and Grand Haven. Recent travel to tournaments has included Traverse City, Petoskey, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo as well as cities in Indiana and Illinois.
How many games do you play?
The WMYSA seasons (fall and spring) include 8 games each. If your team plays indoor soccer during the winter months the establishment will put together a schedule. Tournament play usually involves at least 3 guaranteed games with additional games based on division and tournament structure.
How much do uniform kits cost?
Uniform kits are required for each player and are a separate cost from the registration fees. The club has a two year cycle in which the kits will be used. Cost and style of the kit changes from time to time depending on our vendor stock but is around $160 for the full kit.
Are you involved in tournaments?
RASC teams often times participate in several tournaments per season. The decision to attend tournaments is a team decision and will be decided by each team individually. Teams regularly participate in events held in Michigan, indiana, Ohio and Illinois.
When does the season run?
The WMYSA fall season begins after Labor Day and runs through the first week of November. The WMYSA spring season begins the first part of April and ends the first part of June. An indoor season, which are not WMYSA sponsored, generally has several sessions running anywhere from November to April. Teams may choose to participate in a session that fits their schedules.
How often are tryouts held?
Group tryouts are held in June for U9-U19 Boys and U9-U19 Girls. Visit the Tryouts link to learn more. If you are new to the area or someone that would like to join a team mid-season, visit the Team Contacts page and contact the age-appropriate coach.
Where are home games played?
Home games are played at the Kalamazoo Community Soccer Complex located at 901 S. Drake Road, Kalamazoo, 49009 (behind Calvary Bible Church).
How often do you practice?
Teams generally practice two times a week for 90 minutes. Days and times will be decided by the team.
What days are the games?
WMYSA games are normally scheduled on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon with makeup games being scheduled as field and referee scheduling permit.
What type of coaching will I receive?
All head coaches are highly encouraged to attend age appropriate coaching and licensing courses offered by USSF or USC. All coaches involved with the players must also participate in the state's Risk Management program.
Can I participate in other activities (sports, extracurricular, etc.) while playing travel soccer?
Every coach should set their participation expectations. If the player and coach can agree to an arrangement, the player should be allowed to participate in other activities.
How competitive is travel soccer?
Travel soccer is very competitive. This is an excellent opportunity to grow as a soccer player. Players should expect play that challenges their physical and psychological skills.
