Fees and Policies

Fees

Select/Elite

The cost to play within the club is $200 per player for per season. The $200 club fee covers league dues, club fees, field rental, referee fees, coach stipend and winter indoor training. Uniform kits are required and are generally used for two years.  Uniform costs are determined by the uniform vendor and are subject to change.   Tournament registration fees are extra and will vary by event.  Your team manager will determine costs for the tournament.  Lodging and travel expenses are the players responsibility.   Some teams may require additional coaching fees and the cost will be determined by each individual team.

Academy

The cost for U7/U8 Academy players is $75 yearly and includes weekly practice, 4 Jamboree style  (3 4v4 small sided) games per season, and a Red Arrow Soccer Club T-shirt.

Policies

Payment Policy

  • Full payment is required in order to complete a registration and be placed on a team.
  • Failure to complete payment in full will result in removal from the team.
  • A $25 fee will be charged for all returned checks.

Refund Policy

RASC does not issue refunds. Once a player is placed on a team, there will be no refund or credit with the exception of medical issues that arise after the registration. Refunds are not eligible in the following circumstances:

  • Player or parent does not like the team.
  • Registration Deadline has passed.

Red Arrow Soccer Club Financial Assistance Policy

Red Arrow Soccer Club is dedicated to organizing a focused path for the total development of soccer players in Southwest Michigan, providing them with the opportunity to play at the highest level of competition possible. Red Arrow understands that participating in competitive soccer requires a greater financial commitment than recreational soccer and strives to help players/families who need financial assistance in a way that benefits players, their families and the club. The club believes the ability to pay should not present a barrier to players participation. Requests for financial assistance will be considered on an individual basis and evaluated based upon player/family need, available registration fee scholarship funding and demonstrated player commitment.

 Financial assistance guidelines:

  • All players/families must make a minimum deposit of $100 towards their registration fees upon making a team. The maximum scholarship award is 50% of all fees.
  • Red Arrow Scholarship Forms should be completed and received by the Red Arrow Registrar no later than July 1st of the current year.
  • Players applying for registration fee scholarship should be eligible for their respective school district’s free and reduced lunch program. Scholarship forms that have “proof of need” attached will greatly simplify the review process.
  • After scholarships are awarded, the remaining balance of player registration fees is to be paid in full before the first season game.
  • Failure to pay registration fees in full by the dates indicated may result in the player being ineligible to participate in practices/games and their player card being pulled until outstanding fees are paid.

This information will be held in confidence by the club Scholarship Committee and will only be used to evaluate financial need when awarding scholarships and granting financial assistance. The applicants name will be concealed when reviewed by the committee.

Red Arrow Soccer Club will also consider registration fee scholarship requests from players/families with other documented financial hardships (e.g., single parent receiving public assistance, loss of job, etc.).

Dispute Resolution Policy

RASC is committed to providing the best experience in youth soccer.  We strive for continuous improvement and realize there are many ways to continue developing a better environment.

The Board of Directors has implemented a process for parents/players to be heard outside of the normal channels of communication.  This process is intended as a last measure to ensure we are doing everything we can to listen to our club members and then take action where necessary.

The Dispute Resolution Team (DRT) will consist of, at a minimum, the President and one other Board member to review/investigate an inquiry.  This action is typically after the normal channels of communication have been followed.

  1. Discuss with Coach
  2. Discuss with Director of Coaching
  3. DRT

The DRT will be open to support discussions in the following topics:

  • Bullying
  • Inappropriate conduct by players, coaches
  • Communication issues
  • Inconsistencies in club philosophy
  • Personal or financial issues

The DRT will not engage in discussions regarding:

  • Playing time
  • Player positions
  • Other players playing time or position
  • Coaching strategy

Please send any concerns/inquiries to the President.

Severe Weather Policy

If a severe weather “warning” or a tornado “warning” exists in the venue’s area during game time or 2 hours prior to or 1 hour after the scheduled game time, the venue’s management or either team’s coach may reschedule the game to an alternative time and/or date without concern of forfeiture.  If referees are assigned to a match that falls under these conditions, they may also be excused from officiating.  The venue management, coach or official that elects to cancel a game due to severe weather or tornado “warnings” must contact all other parties to inform them of their decision prior to game time.

  6.  I will respect the authority of the referee, even though I may sometimes disagree with the call.
  7.  I deserve to have fun during my soccer experience. I will alert parents or coaches if it stops being fun.

  11.  I understand that poor behavior during practices, games, or tournaments may result in lost playing time and expulsion from the team.

Selection of Coaches

The RASC Director of Coaches is responsible for the selection of coaches subject to approval of the RASC Board of Directors. Coach selections for the RASC will be based on demonstrated soccer coaching ability, experience, licensing and the ability to instruct. Coaches are required to have the appropriate license for the age group and level that they will be coaching. For the U-10 to U-12 age groups this shall be a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) class E license, its equivalent or above. For the U-13 and above age groups this shall be a USSF class D license, its equivalent or above. Coaches without a license are allowed one year (fall and spring seasons) to obtain a license.
