To educate, develop & encourage soccer competition in youth aged 6 to 18.

History

The Red Arrow Soccer Club (RASC) has been in existence since the early 1990’s and develops both select and premier level teams. The club primarily draws players from Mattawan, Paw Paw, Gobles, Lawrence, Lawton, and Decatur school districts. However, players also come from Kalamazoo, Portage and other surrounding schools. RASC is a club that focuses on the best value for optimum player development by providing the best training opportunities available. When your soccer player leaves our club, they will have a strong foundation to continue with their soccer career.

 Travel Soccer Basics

Red Arrow SC is a travel soccer club which is a member of the West Michigan Youth Soccer Association (WMYSA) and all Red Arrow SC teams play in WMYSA leagues.  Tryouts are held in the summer and there are two seasons, one in the fall and one in the spring of the following year.  Each season typically consists of eight games held on a Saturday or Sunday with four of those being home games and four away games.  Home games are played at the Kalamazoo Community Soccer Complex, located off of Drake Rd. in Kalamazoo.  Away games are typically only a 30-60 minute drive to locations such as Battle Creek, Portage, Plainwell, Galesburg, Sturgis, and St. Joseph.  Practices are generally held twice a week during the season.  As an additional benefit, Red Arrow SC offers training in an indoor facility during the winter months as part of your player’s registration.  Red Arrow SC encourages each team to compete in one tournament per season.  Tournaments can be local, across Michigan or neighboring states.  Tournament locations will be decided with input from coaches, managers, and parents.

Costs

The cost to play within the club is $200 per player for per season. The $200 club fee covers league dues, club fees, field rental, referee fees, coach stipend and winter indoor training. Uniform kits are required and are generally used for two years.  Uniform costs are determined by the uniform vendor and are subject to change.   Tournament registration fees are extra and will vary by event.  Your team manager will determine costs for the tournament.  Lodging and travel expenses are the players responsibility.   Some teams may require additional coaching fees and the cost will be determined by each individual team.
